American DC-3 1:144 scale plastic kit from Minicraft
Product description:
AMERICAN AIRLINES DST/DC-3 The DC-3 was a development of the Douglas DC-2 airliner. American liked the DC-2, but wanted something a bit larger to allow the addition of sleeping berths for overnight flights. The new plane was designated Douglas Sleeper Transport. It began operations in September, 1936. Douglas engineers realized that if they removed the sleeping facilities they could add seven more seats, and the DC-3 was created. The decals have the markings for an American DST and a DC-3. Other features are: Clear cockpit windows, movable wheels and propellers, detailed engines.
