Clubbing in Singapore

Singapore is fast becoming a global party hotspot with a fantastic mix of veteran clubs and new clubs hitting scene. Perhaps its the improving economy or globalisation but one thing is for sure its easy to find chic n beautiful babes and hunks in da club! These are the hotspots of Singapore where you'll find hottest people, places, and parties.

Singapore's ladies' night is on Wednesday in most bars, and on Thursday in a

few others. It's no surprise then to see that most interns in Singapore seem to focus on Wednesday night when making party plans... At the moment, your best chance to meet fellow interns is at the Insomnia from 9pm onwards. You can find the Insomnia at Chijmes, along with other favorites, such as the Liberte Bar and the club China Jump.

The biggest and internationally most recognized club in town is Zouk, which you can practically only reach by taxi. Go there on Friday or Saturday night, and watch out for the club's special events, such as the beach party or the Halloween party. Zouk really consists of three clubs, namely Zouk itself, Phuture and Velvet Underground, which play Techno/House, Hip Hop and House music, respectively. If you enter the place through the Velvet Underground entrance, you have to buy a ticket that is valid for all three clubs (S$30/S$35 for girls/guys). Otherwise you only buy a ticket that is valid for Zouk and Phuture (S$25/S$28 for girls/guys). Tickets include two free drinks.

A new addition is a cosy little velvet lounge designed in an eclectic mix of Andy Warhol and other contemporary designs. The separate bar with a softer sound system allows people to mingle away from the main dance floor area.

DJ KoFlow also received title of Best Musician at the Nike StreetStyle Awards and honorable mention by Juice Magazine for Best New & Independent DJ. Most recently was his Heineken Thirst win for the Singapore leg in April 2005. DJ KoFlow represents his craft from the top-line with MTV to the underground experimental.....a serial wax killer in the mix!
